There’s something magical about the first hints of football season. Cozy sweatshirts, crisp fall weekends, game day snacks, and gathering the people you love around the table.
But who says football has to be all team colors and tailgates?
This year, we decided to celebrate football season with a feminine twist—think bows, gingham, pink florals, sweet treats, and the cutest football-inspired outfits from Sweet Wink’s new Football Collection. The result was our “Sundays are for the Girlies” Football Party, and honestly, I may never decorate for football any other way again.

The Inspiration
Instead of the traditional reds, greens, and team colors, I leaned into a soft feminine palette of:
- blush pink
- hot pink
- brown
- cream
- touches of white
- gingham
- bows everywhere
The goal was to create something that felt like tailgating meets coquette—playful enough for kids but elevated enough that moms would want to recreate it too.
The Table
For the tablescape, I wanted guests to instantly think:
“Football…but make it pretty.”
We layered:
- pink gingham tablecloth
- football paper runner
- oversized football plates
- bow placemats
- football popcorn boxes
- pink bow napkins
- football confetti scattered throughout
- pink football balloon
- pink striped vases filled with fresh flowers
Instead of using traditional mums or sunflowers, I filled the center of the table with:
- pink roses
- white spray flowers
- chamomile daisies
- white ranunculus
- pink hypericum berries
The florals softened the football theme and made everything feel whimsical instead of sporty.
My Pink Football Grazing Board
One of my favorite parts of entertaining is creating grazing boards that coordinate with the overall color palette.
For this party, I kept everything pink (with just a little chocolate for balance!).
The board included:
- fresh strawberries
- raspberries
- pink yogurt-covered pretzels
- pink wafer cookies
- chocolate donuts
- popcorn served in football containers
It was colorful, easy for kids to snack on throughout the afternoon, and looked beautiful in photos.
The Signature Drink
Every party deserves a signature drink—even if it’s kid-friendly.
For our football party, I created a sparkling pink drink using:
Pink Sparkling Lemonade

Olipop Raspberry Sorbet
The Olipop added the prettiest raspberry color while keeping the drink fun and a little more special than plain lemonade.
Served over lots of ice in clear cups with pink striped paper straws, it matched the party perfectly.
It’s refreshing, easy to make, and something both kids and adults enjoyed.
Sweet Wink’s New Football Collection
The star of the party was absolutely Sweet Wink’s brand new Football Collection.
I love that Sweet Wink always finds a way to make childhood feel extra magical, and this collection is no exception.
The girls wore coordinating pieces that were comfortable enough for playing but cute enough for photos all afternoon.
Some of my favorites included:
- the adorable football bow sweaters
- football pajamas
- matching football hats
- embellished football headbands
- football sweatshirts perfect for fall
Everything coordinated beautifully without feeling overly “matchy,” and the neutral browns paired perfectly with all the pink details throughout the party.
Watching the girls jump around in matching pajamas after changing out of their sweaters might have been my favorite part of the entire afternoon.
