It’s the best time of year! I love this time of Fall when we head into the festiveness of the Holidays. First up is Halloween with all its spookiness, tricks and treats. Every year, I like to put together one or two fun mini parties for the girls after school. I aim to inspire everyone to celebrate. Whether it’s taking the theme to a full blown party or just using it for a little after-school snack. This year, I was inspired by Daydream Society’s new Halloween collection “Going Batty.” Many of our favorite Halloween characters, like ghosts and pumpkins, are turning into bats in this collection!
We once had a bat in our house in Connecticut. Justin had to capture it in a Tupperware container and take it to the wildlife refuge. While I’d never replicate that experience ever again, I am okay with these bats in my house!
The Bewitching Details
Almost all of the paper goods came from Daydream Society’s Going Batty collection. Their paper plates are so whimsical and I love the iridescent details. I did supplement the boo runner, Jack-o-lantern cups and boo balloon from My Minds Eye. My snacks and frosted sugar cookie favors are from Olive & Cocoa. The gummy candy bats and cats at each place setting are from Trader Joe’s. The ceramic light-up ghost, bat and candy corn were Target bullseye finds. I got the TY beanie baby bats from our local Publix. I purchased the color-your-own trick or treat bags from Crocodile Creek at Whole Foods. The cute bat fluffy pens were a Michael’s find!
