… Yes, that rhyme was totally intended! I’ve stayed at Four Seasons resorts for many years and the quality of service and our experiences at each and every one never ceases to amaze me. They’re quite a splurge, but like most luxury price tags, the stays come with unparalleled experiences. Here are four of my top favorite things that I enjoy at Four Seasons Orlando and why we choose to ‘staycation’ here as Florida locals.
Adults Only Oasis Pool
One of the reasons I love Four Seasons properties is their amazing kids’ clubs. There is no additional cost for having your kids go to the club. This means guilt-free adult time. The main pool and lazy river were a massive hit with our girls, but most people know about their family-friendly pool. The Oasis Pool is always so quiet and peaceful. I highly recommend taking advantage of the Kids Club and stealing a few hours here to do some kid-free relaxing, reading and drink sipping.
Disney or No Disney
If you’ve come in from out-of-state, chances are you’re going to be spending at least one day at a Disney park. But, if you’re a Florida local, I’d still highly recommend Four Seasons as a destination resort whether or not you plan to get your Mickey + Minnie on. The resort offers transportation to the parks whenever you’d like, but there’s plenty to do at the resort for a long weekend without heading to the parks.
Golf and Tennis Activities
I’m a planner. I love having a packed itinerary on most trips. Combine that with my love of being outside and I like choosing resorts that have outdoor activities available. Queue up that Kids Club once again because you’re going to want to spend some time on the Four Seasons’ courts and course. During our last trip, I booked a private tennis lesson with Alain, the Orlando resort’s head pro. I went in the morning while Justin took the girls to breakfast and before we went to the family pool. One day we put the girls in Kids Club and headed out for 18 on the Tom Fazio designed Tranquilo course. Justin and I are pretty yin and yang, but there’s one activity we can both agree on. That’s golf! I love being outside, getting a few good shots in and enjoying a transfusion (or two!) and Justin loves the sport. Golf is not a quick game, so it also gives us plenty of time to catch up without the hustle and bustle of our normal lives. This course did not disappoint. Like most resort courses, the greens were not too fast and there were only a few super challenging holes. It was more about enjoyment and the beauty of the course. And it got 5 out of 5 stars even though the dense forest surrounding the course got more than a few of my balls!
Service, Service, Service
My fourth (but not really final) reason for staying at Four Seasons Orlando is the same reason I try to stay at Four Seasons resorts for any destination… the service! The in-room iPad allows you to chat 24/7 with hospitality and they’re always willing to help bring items up to your room, get you the in-room dining you’re craving, make restaurant reservations or book activities. I’ve been blown away by how quickly we get a response and there has never been anything we’ve requested that hasn’t been quickly brought to us or set up for us. I also love their app where I can plan our trip a few weeks or a month before we go. This also allows you to ask for special small amenities like the fairy wings pictured here or special soap and sponges spelling the girls’ names (which we requested at the Four Seasons Lanai).
