This Mother’s Day, opt for hands-on activities with your kids. I’ve shared two easy options for kids ages five to ten. I just spent an afternoon this week making these bookmarks with my girls and they absolutely loved them. They insisted on making some for me, our family members and their friends at school. And we spent a lovely hour and a half without any sisterly fighting. That’s a win in my book.

1. Printable Mother’s Day Coupon Book
I have memories of making hand-written coupon books for my Mom for Mother’s Day. This printable version from The Letter Vee is far cuter! You can download the file from their website and then print on card stock at home or your local FedEx. Then your kids can each write in different ideas for the coupons and personalize it. I’ve linked to it here.

2. DIY Glitter & Sticker Bookmarks
This is a really fun activity for Mother’s Day. It’s great for any day when you need your kids to engage in a creative activity. It’s low on prep and stress. I keep a small box handy with all of the below items to make glitter and sticker bookmarks. My kids have made these for their friends as valentines, at slumber parties and just days rainy days.
- Clear bookmark sleeves
- Nail glitter (to insert in sleeves)
- Stickers
- More stickers
- Bookmark tassels
- Alphabet stickers
- Gold Star Stickers
I hope these two easy activities are enjoyable for you and your kids. Celebrate them this Mother’s Day or sometime soon!
